Made in Zürich, for files from everywhere.
Intact CSV Editor is made by MarketVision AG, a web design and Apple support company in Zürich Oerlikon.
One promise
Most programs that open a data file were made for something else. A spreadsheet was made for calculating, so it turns what looks like a number into a number and what looks like a date into a date. A text editor was made for prose, so it knows nothing about columns. Intact CSV Editor was made for the file: it shows what is in it, lets you change what you mean to change, and writes back everything else exactly as it was.
That promise is checked by more than 3,400 automated tests, and every competitor we could find was read line by line to see what it does that we should too. The comparisons are public.
How it is made
- Native. Written in Swift with AppKit and SwiftUI. It starts in about a quarter of a second.
- Self-contained. Parquet, Avro, ORC, SPSS, Stata and the rest are read by the app itself — nothing else to install.
- Private. Your files never leave your Mac. What the app sends, and what it never sends.
- Translated. English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch and Polish.
