The app
Your files
Intact CSV Editor reads, edits, queries and exports your files on your Mac. Their contents are never sent to us or to anyone else. Backups kept before a save, and the journal of unsaved edits, are stored in the app's folder in your Library, on your Mac.
What the app sends, and when
- A usage count. Once at launch and once a day while it runs, the app tells our platform that it ran: a random number made for this purpose only, the app's version and build, the macOS version, the region your Mac is set to and its first language. It never includes your account, your files or anything in them; the platform does not keep your network address. The counts are kept for a little over a year. Turn it off in Settings ▸ Info and nothing is sent; you can also make a new random number there.
- The trial and the licence. To give each Mac its trial, the app makes a random installation number, keeps it in your Keychain and sends it when it asks for its licence. If you sign in, the licence is linked to your account.
- Things you ask for. Opening a file from a link fetches that address. Checking for updates asks our website for the current version — off until you switch it on — and sends nothing about your Mac. Searching the web or a map for a selected value opens your browser or Maps with it.
Your account
An account is optional. It holds your email address and your licence. You can delete it from within the app, in Settings ▸ Account.
This website
This website sets no cookies, loads no fonts or scripts from other companies and contains no tracking or advertising. Like every web server, ours writes technical access logs (address, time, page requested) that are used to keep the site running and deleted after a short time.
